Celebrity Deathmatch

I’m not sure whose idea it was to create Plasticene miniatures of various celebrities and then proceed to disembowel them on television but man did this gimmick get old fast. I’ll admit to giggling through the first few MTV shorts but the network decided (as they often do) to ram a mildly entertaining schtick directly into the ground through use of grating humor and omnipresent reruns. Sure, it’s not everywhere you get to see a Brittney Spears doll eviscerate a Michael Jackson doll but precisely how long could you watch it before tedium set in?
