With her long strawberry-blonde tresses, perfectly prominent cheekbones and wantonly wide mouth, Carol Holst is a dead-ringer for singer-songwriter (and David Crosby lover) Joni Mitchell. The difference being Joni kept her clothes on! Luckily, we can’t say the same for Ms. Holst. Indeed, the professional artists’ model struts her stuff in the buff in Anna Biller’s skinsational flick Viva (2007). Set during the 1970s, the musical dramedy pays homage to the works of Russ Meyer and Radley Metzger as it follows a suburban housewife experiencing the excesses of the sexual revolution. In the midst of the erotic epic is Ms. Holst, paradoxically playing a nudist feminist. As she waxes philosophical, her co-stars Lisa Ann Davis, Teersa Kramer and Anna Simpson prove they don’t wax at all. Least ways, not their fluffy muffs which can be seen during a revealing retreat scene featuring a bevy of naked knockouts. If that’s not arousing enough, Joni Mitchell-lookalike Carol offers “Both Sides Now” of her chest. Alas, her bare breasts are partially obscured by her long hair. Even so, you’ll want to “Free Man in Paris” — or rather, free your member from your pants! Since the film’s (and your) release, the pretty performer popped up in the documentary Shop ’Til You Drop: The Crisis of Consumerism (2009). In 2010, she founded Postconsumers.com which focuses on helping shoppers better cope in a hyper-materialistic culture. Mr. Skin definitely agrees that consumers have too many possessions and would gladly volunteer to rid women, such as Carol, of their clothes!
