If you follow box office news, you know recent female-led comic book movies have failed to draw much attention at the box office. The Brie Larson-led The Marvels was a notorious fall 2023 flop and this weekend's Madame Web is forecast to bring in less than its counterprogrammed Bob Marley biopic. We hate the idea of a world in which a supremely stacked and Spandexed Sydney Sweeney doesn't get butts in theaters, yet here we are. Guess misogyny won.
Today we're doing our part to move the needle (the one in your pants! In the up direction!) by compiling the hottest chicks from both the Sony and Marvel superhero movies. The two flicks we took inspiration from - The Marvels, of course from Marvel, and Madame Web, produced by Sony - are admittedly outliers. the vast majority of these superhero movies have done well to great at the box office. Sony chicks include the OG Kirsten Dunst, Emma Stone, and Sweeney (of course), while Marvel's roster includes Scarlet Johansson, Rosario Dawson, and Florence Pugh. Which group of gals is hotter?
