Jimmy tries to negotiate with strike leader Chalky (Michael Kenneth Williams) but is unable to meet his terms. Margaret (Kelly Macdonald) visits Emily (Lucy Gallina) in the hospital and learns that she will live but be crippled forever.
Jimmy is still refusing to pay his debt to Manny Horvitz (William Forsythe) but sends Mickey Doyle (Paul Sparks) to pay him with extra liquor instead of cash. Manny decides a pound of flesh would be better and goes to Jimmy’s house to teach him a lesson. He grabs Angela (Aleksa Palladino) and waits for Jimmy to come out the bathroom. When the door opens, Manny shoots and we get two surprises- it’s Louise and she’s naked! We get a quick look at Louise’s targets before she hits the floor, courtesy of Manny's pistol. Jimmy has already left town, so Angela is shot as well. Hey Louise, say hello to my little friend!
Nucky (Steve Buscemi) and Owen (Charlie Cox) arrive in Ireland, ostensibly to bury Nucky’s father Ethan. They meet up with Irish politician McGarrigle (Ted Rooney) and show him what’s really in the coffin they brought along- Tommy guns. They want to go right to the source and trade the guns for a steady supply of Irish whiskey.
Back in Atlantic City, Clifford Lathrop (Curt Bouril) discusses Nucky’s case while lying in bed with his boss Esther Randolph (Julianne Nicholson). Clifford saw Ethan being buried in America, casting suspicion on Nucky’s excuse for his trip. We get a brief glance at Esther’s ample peaks as she stands up; with her as a boss, there's no need to ask for a raise!
Meanwhile, Emily’s (Lucy Gallina) sickness is getting worse and soon she is unable to move her legs, so the doctor has her quarantined at the hospital so her can test for polio. And Chaulky (Michael Kenneth Williams) initiates his plan to create chaos in Atlantic City by instigating a black workers’ strike.
