Barney Boomer

A Canadian teen sitcom dealing with the folks of a town called Cedarville, which Barney Boomer (John Clayton) sails his houseboat to in order to visit his uncle, Captain Boomer (Rex Sevenoaks). Of course, it’s such a nice place he ends up staying. But only for a few months, due to the fact that, as of January 1968, the title of the show changed to Upside Town and Barney was let go. What did Barney do to get the sack? Was he not booming hard enough? We’ll never know, but we do know that Barney Boomer co-star, Belinda Montgomery, went on to show her flappies in 1970’s the Todd Killings. Which we do appreciate.
