Amanda Seyfried has been in the public eye for a couple of decades now meaning that we've watched her blossom from playing teen and 20s roles to now playing moms. It's true! Amanda is playing MILFs now like she is in her new film Seven Veils. Amanda talked about how she is being offered a lot of mom roles now and since Amanda remains as sexy as she's ever been we can safely say that she has entered her MILF era. We're happy to see it!
She has always been one of our absolute favorite blonde babes. Ever since she played an air-headed teen in the comedy cult classic Mean Girls or a nerdy closeted lesbian in Jennifer's Body, we knew there was something special about this big-eyed babe with big breasts to match. But now? She's playing moms. That doesn't mean she can't still go nude!
Amanda is now a mother in real life. She has two kids and she loves being a mom, but she joked at a press conference at the Berlin Film Festival that, "it seems like once I popped out a baby, I was just playing mothers." It does seem to be true that once you play a mom once - or are known to be a mom in real life - you are now playing mothers until you're playing grandmas. Thankfully, she's still a long way away from GILF roles.
In her new film Seven Veils, Seyfried plays a theater director named Jeanine who has a lot of trauma that she has tried to forget about. But her PTSD bubbles up when she prepares for her latest show, the opera Salome. The character is also a mother which Seyfried pointed out is what she relates to most about her character. So she's not a trauma-ridden theater director in real life, but she is a mommy and that's why she can play all kinds of mothers now.
“I felt like Jeanine, specifically as a mother, trying to figure out where she stands in her life as a parent and as a wife who is so on the precipice of separating from her husband — she’s kind of hanging on a thread everywhere and not being taken as seriously as she’d like to in her career, just wanting more.”
“In my career, it’s still a bit new to play a mother," she also said. She has added that these roles are complex and challenging so she is enjoying this new moment in her career as she learns how to play older MILFs. I am excited to see this mature version of Amanda and what sexy antics she gets up to in her new roles.
