The Master and Margarita (2024)

A sprawling fantasy epic from Russia based on the Mikhail Bulgakov of the same name, it first takes place in 1930s Moscow, where a famous writer (Evgeniy Tsyganov as the titular Master) finds out the theatre production of his work “Pilate” has been canceled and, prompted by an angry essay about the play from a critic, the writer ends up getting expelled by the union. He then holes up with a beautiful woman named Margarita (Yuliya Snigir), who convinces him to run with an idea he has about a satirical revenge novel inspired by these recent events. Suddenly we’re transported to the world of the novel, which has a talking cat named Behemoth, and also inside the ancient world of the play itself. And speaking of pussies, we see Yulia’s yummy pink taco twice along with several looks at her yabbos that’ll make it hard to stay master of your domain!
