Wie Feuer und Flamme (2001), or Never Mind the Wall, is a German romance about a woman from West Germany named Nele (Anna Bertheau) who travels to East Germany in 1982 and falls in love with the lead singer of a band. Because their country is divided by Communism and a very literal wall, their love cannot last. Fast forward to 1990 after the wall has come down, and Nele goes on a quest to find her long lost love.
