Elizabeth Berkley Is Ready to Dance!
With Hollywood being all about the remakes and reboots, I keep finding myself asking the same question: What about Showgirls? It’s a classic and Elizabeth Berkley is still smoking hot, so why isn’t there a reboot or remake in the works right now? Sure there is co-star Rena Riffel's self-helmed sequel Showgirls 2: Penny's from Heaven (2011), but we need Elizabeth to come back for another round too!
I think we’ve all met someone who proclaims that they haven’t seen the 1995 classic Showgirls,to which we respond by locking them in the room and making them watch it. Once it’s over, they love it - they are hooked. So, why not remake or reboot this wonderful film? Seriously, Elizabeth Berkley would probably have no problem dusting off her thong and showing off her dance moves again. I’m sure there are plenty of former teen stars who could jump, or maybe I should say dance, into a remake of Showgirls. Look, I understand the reboot fatigue, but if you knew Elizabeth Berkley was once again going to show off her skills while completely nude that you wouldn’t be first in line. Well, you’d be second because I would be in line ahead of you.
I don’t know if those online petitions really do anything, but when a cause like Elizabeth Berkley doing another Showgirls movie is near and dear to your heart, you can’t sit around and hope. Elizabeth Berkley is ready - she’s going to the gym and everything. We need to make this happen people.
