Welcome to the Jungle (2007)

Filmed in cinéma vérité style for optimal creepiness, Welcome to the Jungle (2007) follows four misguided college mugs who venture into the jungles of Papua New Guinea in search of Michael Rockefeller. Mike was the youngest son of Nelson Rockefeller, famous for going missing during a canoeing trip. Was he eaten by a croc? Was he eaten by a shark? Was he eaten by a hungry Homo sapien? No one knows if he drowned or became dinner—but in Welcome to the Jungle, there's a rumor that he isn't actually dead. So into the wild in search of the missing heir go the two young couples (and onto each other’s nerves they all quickly get). As the foursome goes deeper and deeper into the jungle, the disagreements get more heated. And amidst the bickering and the blathering, something wicked is closing in. Guess who's coming to dinner . . . as the main course?
