Literary minded lesbian period romances is a hugely popular sub-genre at the moment, with films like Colette, Wild Nights with Emily, and Tell it to the Bees being three recent prime examples of the trend. The latest entry into the genre is the skinsationally sapphic film Vita and Virginia, starring Gemma Arterton and Elizabeth Debickias the respective authors Vita Sackville-West and Virginia Woolf.

The leggy beauties are joined in this true story of a forbidden romance in the 1920s by screen legend Isabella Rossellini, who is always a welcome sight in a flick like this. Rumor has it that Eva Green was originally cast in the role of Virginia Woolf, which would have made her and Arterton a nice pairing of two of the Daniel Craig Bond girls in a lesbian romance, but it just wasn't in the cards. Andrea Riseborough was also attached at one point, but I have no doubt Debicki will do great in the role.

The film features some hot lesbian action with the two leads doing some under the covers fingerbanging just past the one hour mark, before both babes bare their breasts at the hour and eleven minute mark! Best of all, you won't have to wait long to see this one as Vita and Virginia is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on August 23, followed by a VOD release one week later!
