Show business ran in Verónica Forqué’s family. Her brother is director Álvaro Forqué and her parents were actress Carmen Vázquez Vigo and director José María Forqué. But Verónica is far an away the most successful Forqué both because she won four Goyas, which is more than every Spanish lady outside of Carmen Maura, but because whenever Verónica saw a fork in the road, she chose the sexiest path. Veronica's last role came in Espejo, Espejo (2022), before her battles with depression caught up with her and she killed herself in December of 2021 at 66 years old. What a shame.
