On the fourth of July, Americans celebrate Independence Day. But when in Rome, do as the Romans do — and celebrate the birthday of Italian actress Vera Gemma. With a tight and toned figure, the exotic hottie was meant to be on camera. As such, she made her movie debut in the drama Maîtresse (1991). Soon after, the arresting ingénue played a policewoman in Dario Argento’s psychological thriller La sindrome di Stendhal (1996). Oh, how Mr. Skin would love for her to frisk him! Titillating turns in Ladri di cinema (1996) and Alliance cherche doigt (1997) followed. Sure, these movies are hard to pronounce (and even harder to find), but just think how hard you’ll be once you stream them! Vera exposed her sense of humor (among other things) in the 1996 comedy I magi randagi (aka We Free Kings). Next came the dramedy Hardboiled Egg (1997) with Regina Orioli and Barbara Scoppa. Too bad the film wasn’t called Over Easy. After lending her sexy presence to the foreign film Intolerance (1997) and the TV series Le ragazze di Piazza di Spagna (1998), Ms. Gemma worked with Mr. Argento again — this time in his mystery The Card Player (2004). But not before the beauty bared her breasts and butt in Scarlet Diva (2000). Directed by Dario’s daughter Asia Argento, the R-rated docu-pic has Vera hogtied in bed. Once she’s let loose, the skintastic actress struts her stuff in an itsy bitsy teeny weeny leopard print bikini and cowboy hat. Yee haw!
