Un monde meilleur (1996)

French skinophiles were thrown off the scent by Laurent Dussaux’s smoldering made-for-TV drama Un monde meilleur (1996). The title, which loosely translates as A Better World, is the same one that the saccharine Haley Joel Osment vehicle Pay It Forward (2000) used when it was distributed abroad. Fortunately they’re easy enough to distinguish--the small-screen, French-made production boasts a ravishing performance by Natacha Régnier, who shows off every one of her curves in their natural glory.
