The career of French writer/director Olivier Assayas has been a long and interesting one, with his first film work dating back to the late 70s. His work with Juliette Binoche on films like Clouds of Sils Mariaand Summer Hours has been among the best of his work work in the new millennium, and the two are back together for the new dramedy Non-Fiction.
Perhaps the most exciting trend continuing into this new film is plenty of nudity, courtesy not only of Binoche, but also her co-star Christa Théret! Théret goes topless in bed with a guy at the 35 minute mark, and just five minutes later we get flashes of Binoche's breasts as she gets busy with a guy in bed! Fans of lesbian action should also keep their eyes peeled at the 65 minute mark for a sapphic smooch between Théret and Olivia Ross!
Assayas has been on fire lately, with his 2016 film Personal Shopper being among the best films in his entire career. It's a tough act to follow, for sure, but hopefully Non-Fiction is up to the task. We'll find out when the film opens in limited release beginning on May 3.
