To the Devil a Daughter (1976)

Great Nudity!

Review

Based on a novel by best-selling British occult novelist Dennis Wheatley, To the Devil a Daughter (1976) is a notable film for two reasons. First, it was the second-to-last film produced by the legendary Hammer Film Productions before their 1979 big-budget remake The Lady Vanishes drained the last of the company’s financial resources. Second, it featured full-frontal nudity on the part of the incomparable Nastassja Kinski. The film stars Richard Widmark as a horror writer trying to protect a young nun named Catherine (Kinski) from an evil priest (Christopher Lee) and his Satanic coven, who want to turn the girl into an incarnation of the demon Astaroth on her eighteenth birthday. We don’t get to see Nastassja’s ass-taroth, but we do, thankfully, get a great look at her breast-aroths and bush-taroth.
