Review

Bruce Willis' buddy is a psychiatrist who turns up murdered, and all Bruce gets is his mansion and kooky group therapy patients-one of whom is the killer. Yes, Color of Night (1994) had a very intriguing premise, and despite being a box office bomb did pretty well when it hit the video market. But decades before the "Snyder Cut" fiasco, this one had all sorts of issues between the studio and director Richard Rush, with Rush going so far as sending his version of the movie to critics to show that it didn't suck. Willis plays Dr. Bill Capa, who is all messed up after his patient commits suicide, so he flees to LA only for his best bud to be killed while he's there. Rough luck. The killer is likely a patient, but after one of them is killed, all of a sudden Bill almost gets offed, himself. Eventually he figures out all the patients are somehow connected to Rose (Jane March), a woman Bill's been boning since he first headed out to the West Coast. There's a ton of trans related twists that have aged like milk, but the nudity when Rose gets that good shrink dink sure holds up! We first get to see Miss March when she has a Les-bian affair with Lesley Ann Warren. In front of a raging fire, Jane takes her top off, then flashes her ass which has a mysterious rose tattoo on it. We'd play with that booty-quet all day! But even better than that, we see all three B's while she rails Bruce in a pool, comes to dinner naked, wears nothing under an apron, has sex with Bruce in a hot tub, and gives Mr. Willis a "what color are my nipples" quiz! We'll be thinking about that nip color in Color of Night, all night! The softcore Hitchcock mix runs afoul of plot and sense, but it definitely hitches Mr. Skin's cock!
