Review

A masked mystery man terrorizes the streets of Rome in The Wax Mask (1997). Loosely based on Vincent Price's House of Wax and co-written by legendary directors Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci, The Wax Mask opens as a young girl witnesses the brutal murder of a couple by a masked man with a metal claw. Twelve years later, a new wax museum opens specializing in gory re-creations of infamous murder scenes. Then a young man disappears after spending the night in the spooky museum, and once again Rome is at the mercy of the mysterious masked murderer. There's an abundance of icky, sticky gore oozing from every frame of this outrageous flick, but if you're looking to make some goop of your own, check out the topless turns by pretty victims Romina Mondello and Valery Valmond. The Wax Mask will leave you dripping.
