The Strange Case of Ezra Bumble (1994)

Director Herb Henderson successfully condenses a feature-length concoction of titillating thrills and chills into a compact seventeen minutes with his short film The Strange Case of Ezra Bumble (1994). Included in the Realm of the Bizarre anthology, the flick stars Barry King as a sleazy cubicle jockey who, upon learning of his co-worker’s penchant for necrophilia, decides to blackmail the weirdo. For the eponymous, dead-flesh-lovin’ Bumble to escape embarrassment, he’ll have to introduce his tormenter to the new girl at the office––a task that turns out to be far easier said than done. Henderson’s short starts weird and gets even weirder, culminating in a scene in which prostitute Jill Simonson flashes her tits and gets brained with a wrench. They say that it’s a thin line between sex and violence, but this takes the cake.
