Did you watch the Big Game yesterday? Just like everyone else around the world, we can't stop talking about it. The commercials were great, the game was tense, and Kendrick Lamar brought his very public beef with Drake to one of the biggest stages in the world during the Half Time show. While he had sexy special guest SZA join him, we did feel there was a serious lack of skin in one of the biggest events of the year.
Just because there wasn't that much skin at the Big Game this year does not mean that there never has been. There have been truly skintastic performances in the past that are worth remembering. Here are three of the absolute hottest Half Time performances in football history:
3. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez
Back in 2020 before the pandemic, we were riveted by the Latina SEXplosion that was Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. The Latina songstresses danced and sang in a very exciting show that had all of us getting up on our feet and shaking our hips. Meanwhile, Shakira's hips did not lie in her booty-shaking performance. They never do!
Between her hips and J. Lo's magnificent keester, this was a sensuous experience. Jennifer Lopez was sliding all over the floor and look better than ever. These two won the game that night.
2. Britney Spears
2000s Britney Spears was a hot moment in skin history. The pop icon was everywhere and she was sporting the perfect amount of innocence and bad girl attitude. There was always something so naughty about Britney. In 2001, the young lady wore a teeny tiny crop top with a plunging neckline. Her cleavage was unreal! She wore tight pleather pants and showed off her perfect body. She made us all a slave to her with her exciting performance.
1. Janet Jackson
This is THE greatest performance of all time in our books. This is quite literally the reason why the modern internet as we know it took off. Websites like YouTube and Mr. Skin (hey, that's us!) became vital when fans flocked to the internet in search of the infamous nipple footage. Not only was this sexy and exciting to see Janet Jackson's nipple at the Big Game, but we are incredibly grateful to this performance for basically birthing Mr. Skin.
If you were living under a rock at the time, let me tell you what happened. Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake performed a duet together. When JT sang the famous lyric, "I'm gonna have you naked by the end of this song" he ripped off Janet's top. This exposed Janet's hard nipple to the entire world!
People were offended which is ridiculous. This has always seemed planned to some degree and JT threw Janet under the bus after the fact. History has not been kind to Justin Timberlake for making that mistake! He should have defended his actions and protected Janet Jackson's perfect breast.
