The Scarlet Letter (2004)

Not to be confused with Nathaniel Hawthorne’s classic of American literature, The Scarlet Letter (2004) is a dark thriller about detective Ki-Hoon (Han Suk-yu) investigating the murder of a man whose wife, Kyeong-hie (Hyeon-a Seong), is the prime suspect. Although Ki-Hoon is already married and cheating on his wife with a nightclub singer (Eun-Joo Lee), he finds himself inexplicably attracted to the beautiful Kyeong-hie. Eun-Joo Lee and Hyeon-a Seong light up the screen in hot sex scenes with the horny detective. Actress Eun-Joo Lee’s subsequent death by suicide rocked the Korean film world.
