The Pillars of the Earth (2010)

Based on a historical novel by Ken Follett, the 2011 Starz miniseries Pillars of the Earth concerned a cathedral being built in the middle of England's 12th Century Civil War known as "The Anarchy." Set in the fake town of Kingsbridge, the show follows Bishop Waleran Bigod (Ian McShane) and his loyal monk (Matthew Macfadyen) as they try to leverage all the political drama around them to get a giant Cathedral built. Once they get the okay, Tom the Builder (Rupert Sewell) is the one tasked with creating the Cathedral, but he is more interested in endlessly gawking to the point of stalking the mysterious Ellen (Natalia Wörner). To make that happen, he takes on her sculptor son (Eddie Redmayne) as an apprentice. Meanwhile, our warring royal families start to wonder if building the giant church is actually the best use of their funds. It's not the most fun show ever put to TV, but at least there are some funbags! With all those huge names, it was a bit of a surprise this one didn't find a larger audience. Perhaps it didn't figure out that the pillar of historical dramas are packing them with enough naked women to fill the boring moments. But that's not to say there weren't some sexual scenes. Hayley Atwell didn't make us swell, but whoever her body double was did! We get to see the buns of the mystery babe while skinny dipping, in scene not worth skipping! You'll shoot plenty of goo despite the switcheroo! But the best stuff came from Natalia Wörner, who we get to see having all sorts of sex, with her tremendous tits on display every time. Truly, some of the best chest pillows on Earth! Those scenes alone are surefire seed spillers in The Pillars of the Earth!
