The Perfect Couple (2024-)

Based on the book of the same name by Elin Hilderbrand, the six-episode whodunit centers on the wealthy Winbury family, led by renowned novelist Greer Garrison Winbury (Nicole Kidman) and her husband of almost thirty years, Tag Winbury (Liev Schreiber). The titular couple’s son Benji (Billy Howle) is about to marry working-class girl Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson), but the festivities are disrupted when Amelia’s maid of honor, social media influencer Merritt Monaco (Meghann Fahy) is found dead. Handling the case are local police chief Dan Carter (Michael Beach) and big city detective Nikki Henry (Donna Lynne Champlin), but they’ve got a long road ahead because everybody, even the bride, is a suspect. The list of possible murderers also includes Benji’s smarmy older brother Thomas (Jack Reynor), Thomas’s pregnant and controlling wife, Abby (Dakota Fanning), and Benji’s younger brother Will (Sam Nivola), whose impending 18th birthday will trigger the release of a trust fund for all three siblings. Plus there’s the groom’s best man, Shooter (Ishaan Khatter), the family’s put-upon housekeeper Gosia (Irina Dubova), and a French friend of the family played by Isabelle Adjani. Despite the unfamiliar surroundings, Amelia seems to be pretty comfortable walking around in her bra and splashing about in bikinis so that means plenty of peeks at Eve’s cleavage (or Eve-age), and both Meghann and Dakota soak up some sun in skimp bathing suits. It all makes for a sexy mystery of perfect proportions!
