The Parole Officer (2001)

In The Parole Officer (2001), Steve Coogan sports an unsuccessful track record of rehabilitation. But things get worse when he accidentally witnesses a murder while hiding in the storage room of a strip club. Coogan realizes that the key murderers are high-ranking cops who know his identity, but it's too late, as he's already informed the police. After an unsuccessful blackmail attempt, the corrupt keystones frame the officer for the slaying. A video detailing the crime lies deep inside a bank vault. The civil servant must enlist the help of his criminal charges to break into the bank and steal the tape that will ultimately prove his innocence.
