French filmmaker Roger Vadim already made a star out of his real-life wife Brigitte Bardot with And God Created Woman (1956). Looking for a provocative follow-up, he opted for the skinternational flick The Night Heaven Fell (1958) based on Albert Vidalie’s same-named novel of 1954. Also known as Les bijoutiers du clair de lune, the French-Italian production made for the happy return of B.B. and her fit figure which she flaunts in barely-there underwear. The foreign drama is set in Spain where a babe named Ursula (Bardot) moves in with her aunt Florentine (Alida Valli) and uncle Comte Miguel de Ribera (José Nieto). Northern Irish actor Stephen Boyd plays the handsome local Lambert. Since his sis committed suicide because of Brigitte’s creepy uncle, Lambert seeks revenge by bedding Florentine. But that’s not enough; he also wants to knife the guy and nail the niece. Regarding the latter, we get to see the seductive dude kissing Ms. Bardot’s bountiful lips and pretty nips. Within seconds, she slips out of her dress to flash her mams and gams during the caress. Despite this scene, the film didn’t impress critics or sell masses of tickets. Yet it does succeed in exposing the blonde ingénue’s delicious derrière. In fact, Brigitte is busting out of her clothes throughout the movie. Merci beaucoup! Unfortunately, the motion picture isn’t just about her killer curves; there’s also a murder trial. If the case was about the bombshell’s onscreen charms, she would be found guilty of being a legendary sex goddess!
