The Matador (2005)

The Matador (2005) got a lot of press for the against-type performance of Pierce Brosnan as a gin-soaked, whore-mongering hit man who meets with a goody-goody salesman played by Greg Kinnear in a Mexican bar. The movie is both genuinely funny and touching, as the evil Brosnan seeks redemption in the figure of Kinnear, whom he sees as his only friend. These two talented actors keep the story moving forward to its satisfying conclusion, but it’s the beginning of the movie, with a neat nude flash from Azucena Medina, in her nude debut, that makes this matador see red.
