The Man From Atlantis

Childhood memories return… The Man from Atlantis used to be little Udo’s favorite TV show when he was still a kid! You may be able to understand my disappointment when the series was cancelled after only one season and seventeen episodes. I think the cast was generally pretty good with the young Patrick Duffy perfectly cast in the male lead. He always seemed to be able to supply his character with the right tone of melancholy and vulnerability to keep The Man from Atlantis interesting and involving. Furthermore I have to admit having been in love with the beautiful Belinda Montgomery. What a babe she was back then! The story centered on Mark Harris (Duffy), the only remaining inhabitant of the sunken continent Atlantis. What separates him from ‘normal’ people is that he is equipped with webbed hands, light-sensitive eyes, and the ability to swim at low depths in the sea for long periods. In addition, Mark is also enormously strong--though this strength becomes less the longer he stays out of the water (which is probably his only actual weakness). Together with his (human) friends Dr. Elizabeth Merrill (Montgomery) and C.W. Crawford (Alan Fudge), Mark works for the “Foundation for Oceanic Research.” In the process of their submarine excursions they were often confronted with weird phenomenon, monsters, and the villainous millionaire Schubert (Victor Buono). Nudity Report: None! Leading lady Belinda Montgomery’s only nude scene ever in the 1971 thriller The Todd Killings remains quite a mystery. Originally broadcast on network TV, this flick was completely skinless yet the video version apparently contained some tittie action. According to a comment on the Internet Movie Database, the original cut released theatrically in 1971 featured the breathtaking blonde in all her full frontal glory.
