The Little Lulu Show

Lulu is the first animated child stand-up comedienne, whose faithful friend Annie is always by her side to bolster her confidence as she gets into scrapes with her nemesis Tubby and his boys-only club. While Tracey Ullman lent her voice to Lulu during the initial episodes, Jane Woods took over the character after that until the show’s demise in season two. (An animated stand-up comic kid? How could that premise have gone wrong?) Funny Girl Ullman isn’t the prettiest face on the block, but she did give us a brief flash of her bag-worthy body in bra and panties in Robert Altman’s Ready to Wear. And of course, we have The Tracey Ullman Show to thank for essentially giving birth to The Simpsons, with everybody’s favorite cartoon moron, Homer (Hank Azaria).
