The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)

Matthew McConaughey plays to his strengths as a slick scheister lawyer who realizes even he has limits to his immorality, in The Lincoln Lawyer (2011). Mickey Haller (McConaughey) is a sleazy lawyer who gives his fly-by-night defense counsel from the back of his Lincoln towncar, to the absolute dredges of American society. When Mickey is asked to defend the rich, even sleazier realtor Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe) on assault charges, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot. Louis and his family insist his accuser (Marguerite Levieva) is only looking for a payday, but as he digs into the case, Mickey starts to see disturbing parallels to the case of a former client he represented, who's currently sitting in jail for that murder. When Mickey realizes Louis clearly did both killings, he figures out that the whole reason he was hired for the gig is because lawyer laws dictate he can't spill the beans, since that'd break attorney-client privilege. Instead, Mickey's got to figure out a way to represent his client on these charges, but make sure Louis ends up in jail for the other one. To make that happen, the Lincoln Lawyer, who ended up making a ton of Lincoln commercials a few years later thanks to his association with the brand, is going to have to dig deep into his law knowledge for a solution to this tricky situation. Marisa Tomei co-stars as Mickey’s ex-wife, who is actually a DA that hates how her ex represents obviously guilty sleazebags, not that his profession stops her from letting him play with those funbags! Even if they're stuck behind a bra, it's good DA T&A for a law drama. We also get a stripperific slice of Yari de Leon when she appears in flashback wearing a black bra, 49 minutes in. Honest Abe, Yari's a babe! With those two hotties, The Lincoln Lawyer will have you thinking about banging something other than a gavel!
