An ex-pat artist struggles to reconcile her love life, her art, and her political beliefs in The Imperialists Are Still Alive! (2010). Élodie Bouchez stars as Asya, a French expatriate who now makes her living (so to speak) as a conceptual artist in Manhattan. That poses its own set of challenges, but Asya's also got her boyfriend Javier (José María de Tavira) to deal with, as well as her constant fear of being arrested for her pro-Palestininian political activities. That's a lot to have on your plate, but Élodie still finds time to dish out some tasty full nudity as she poses for an art film wearing nothing but a Muslim headwrap. Vulva la revolution!
