Before tackling The Canterbury Tales (1972) and Arabian Nights (1974), skinematic auteur Pier Paolo Pasolini began his Trilogy of Life film series with The Decameron (1971). Also known as Il Decameron, this R rated pic draws off of Giovanni Boccaccio’s same-named allegory from the 14th century. Throughout the course of the story, poor people become rich, revenge goes wrong, and the church ends up being the butt of many jokes. Speaking of butts, Peronella (Angela Luce) makes a cuckold of her husband Giannello (Vincenzo Ferrigno) when she flashes her ass and rack while fooling around behind his back. If that’s not erotic enough, Caterina (Elisabetta Genovese) very modestly bares her beautiful breasts and fluffy muff while having sex with her man on a rooftop. Needless to say, her high-rise rendezvous may make viewers rise too! The film also features Italy’s esteemed actress Silvana Mangano as La Madonna; Belgian-American beauty Monique van Vooren as Queen of Skulls; and Mr. Skin’s favorite Maria Gabriella Maione. Per her portrayal of a nun, the sexy brunette lifts up her habit to show off her bush. Lodare Gesù! Don’t worry if you can’t speak Italian, the comely cast boasts universal appeal. In fact, just because this skinternational flick was shot in France (Loire Valley, Paris), Italy (Naples, Ravello, Rome, Mount Vesuvius) and Tunisia (Sanaa), doesn’t mean Americans won’t be able to follow the plot. Indeed, we predict that many Yanks will be yanking to the movie’s graphic action. In other words, The Decameron will keep you De-cum-eron!
