The Canterbury Tales (1972)

When Geoffrey Chaucer wrote the “Tales of Caunterbury” (1387-1400), he had no idea his work would one day be adapted to the big and small screens. How could he when film and television had not yet been invented? Flash forward to the 20th and 21st centuries when the BBC miniseries The Canterbury Tales (1998-2003) entertained TV audiences across the pond. But not before Italian auteur Pier Paolo Pasolini put his X-rated stamp on the story in an adult version of The Canterbury Tales (1972). Honestly, it didn’t take much of a leap of imagination since Chaucer’s medieval tale is notoriously bawdy — from the miller’s wife who farts in her lover’s face to the massive gluteus maximus that defecates demons. Poop jokes truly are timeless. Also known as I racconti di Canterbury, this raw and racy pic also takes the time to throw in some sexy skin for good measure. Those measurements are provided by Prosperine (Elisabetta Genovese) who goes full frontal as she strolls through a well-manicured English garden. And no, we don’t mean her shrubbery which is left au natural! Not to be upstaged, May (Josephine Chaplin) bares her breasts and bush in bed while an old perv tries to bang her 15 minutes into the movie. Josephine then exposes her hoots and glutes at the 19-minute mark. If that’s not arousing enough, Alison (Jenny Runacre) reveals her rack, rump and muff while in bed with a chump. Considering these bottomless babes, this pic should be called The Canterbury Tails!
