It's here! The trailer for the long-awaited film Blonde, based on the Joyce Carol Oates novel all about Marilyn Monroe's life and career, has finally dropped today. Andrew Dominik's film is finally here after a lot of press and a lot of pushback from Netflix about the explicit nude scenes. Will we see Ana de Armas nude as Marilyn? That is very highly likely! You don't get an NC-17 rating for no reason.
We have talked about this before, but Netflix wanted to edit out some of the allegedly graphic scenes in the film (we will be the judge of that!), but Dominik fought them on it. Marilyn's sex and sensuality were a huge part of her life and appeal. How could you cut that out?!
This NC-17 film is slated to be released on Netflix on September 23rd. This was reportedly a challenging role for Ana de Armas who had to work very hard to nail Marilyn's voice. Based on this trailer alone, she looks stunning. She looks shockingly like Marilyn and that laugh at the end of the trailer sounds just like our favorite blonde sex symbol. Will this earn Ana de Armas awards?
