Joan Collins starred in the film adaptation of a book her sister Jackie Collins wrote, when the two teamed for The Bitch (1979). A sequel to The Stud (1978), that film had Joan playing Fontaine Khaled, a London lady married to a rich Middle Easterner who spends her time disco dancing at the nearest nightclub, and riding the disco stick of the manager she hires (Oliver Tobias) to run the club she buys. Eventually, things go bad and Fontaine ends up a single woman. But you can't keep this bad bitch down. In The Bitch, Fontaine got to keep the club in the divorce settlement, but it's faltering because there are hipper dance clubs popping up around the city. But when she meets a Mafia connected man named Nico (Michael Coby), suddenly Fontaine's got access to a whole underground world she'd never come across before. When the mafia proposes a racehorse scheme her and her man can have a hand in, can Fontaine use the mob money to save her club, or will our bad bitch get burned by the mafiosos? We'd definitely be bitching if there wasn't any nudity in this one, but there’s plenty of tawdry action in this big-screen soaper, with Joan frequently dropping her top to tally up some tickets. Joan's giant jugs can be seen in the shower, in the bath, and on top of a lucky fella she's sleeping with. Those things will have you fawning over Fontaine! Still, she gets some competition from the young bods of youngbloods Sue Lloyd, who shows all three B's while going for a naked swim, and Pamela Salem, who brings the sexual witchcraft while riding on top of a delighted dude. Throw in disco era hotness like the cleavage baring cutie pie Cherry Gillespie, and it's easy to see that The Bitch is full of sexy bitches!
