Most people know poet and diarist Jim Carroll from his minor rock hit from 1980, "People that Died". But he also penned this story of his true-life adventures as a young Catholic schoolboy addicted to heroin on New York's tough streets. With Akiko Ashley's plastic fantastic lovers doing a pasty-hidden dance and Brittany Daniel's small wonders doing their best impression of cleavage in The Basketball Diaries (1995), Carroll should rename his song "Semen that Died".
