The Assistant (1997)

The Assistant (1997) is based on a novel by Bernard Malamud. The book won a Pulitzer Prize, but the movie deserves the booby prize thanks to a breastacular performance by the newcomer (and all will be coming after her bathtub scene) Kate Greenhouse. The story deals in themes like tolerance and forgiveness, but don't worry--there's also the theme of tit. A struggling Jewish family during the depression is robbed and the father is pistol-whipped. One of the robbers feels guilty and returns to the scene of the crime, where he falls in lust with Kate. Spying on her as she bathes, he gets a gander at Kate's cuties. Next time he grabs his love gun he'll be whipping something else.
