Review

The Art of Woo (2001), an offering from Canadian director Helen Lee, plays veejay turned actress Sook-Yin Lee in an interracial romantic comedy against Canadian/Aboriginal actor Adam Beach. Sook-Yin plays Alessa Woo (hence the pun), an art dealer who is rich in ambition and low on funds. Sparks fly when she meets artist Ben, equally broke and ambitious. You can guess what happens next. Sook-Yin got her start as a pop-punk singer and veejay on Canada’s MuchMusic television channel then went on to flash her T&A in a brief solo scene.
