A ragtag gang of hooligans ends up on the doorstep of a popular Spanish disc jockey in the breezy comic road movie Tengo una casa (1996). Director Mónica Laguna wastes no time introducing her eclectic cast of characters, including a disgruntled bartender (Pedro Alonso), a flamboyant guitarist (Ernesto Alterio), and a tag-along fiancée (Lola Baldrich)––all of whom are in trouble with the law. After commandeering a van, the pals end up on the porch of Bólido, a famous radio DJ who must deal with the bumbling lawbreakers over the course of a comic evening. The assignment isn’t so bad, actually, as guests Silke and Baldrich peel off layers to make the impromptu house party a more alluring affair.
