Pamela Anderson is an icon. A legend. A sex symbol for the ages who was aware of her sex appeal and used it in every inch of her career. She is the campy queen of big boobs that makes skin lovers everywhere bow down in honor of her glorious boobaliciousness. When I read that Lily James is going to play Pamela Anderson in the Hulu original adaptation of the Tommy Lee and Pam story, I found myself reminiscing about all of the very best Pamela Anderson scenes. Baywatch. Snapdragon. Raw Justice. They are all hot and horny, but none of them are as enjoyable to me as Barb Wire. For today's Throwback Thursday, let's throw it back to 1996's Barb Wire.
Barb Wire is a one-half Barbarella and one-half bounty-hunter action flick along with story elements reminiscent of Casablanca. That's quite a lot of ingredients to give us the recipe that is Pamela starring as a bounty hunter and club owner in a fasict future America (it's actually 2017). The opening credits of the movie, like Barbarella, feature Pamela with her mamelas out.
She helps her ex get his new wife out of the country and cross the border into Canada. See? That's where the Casablanca-like elements come into play. But she's not a fast-talking Humphrey Bogart. She's a gun-wielding Humpy Boobart with her multiple topless scenes. You can see her breasts a whopping five times in this movie!
In the end, Pamela makes a great action hero and it's a shame that this didn't spawn a million other movies like this. Hey, there's still time! Pamela, please, let's see you kick ass again. In the meantime, watch her do a soaking wet dance sequence here:
