Every young man in America had a crush on Kim Novak in the 50's. Born Marilyn Novak, this blonde definitely gave off Monroe vibes with her platinum blonde hair and luscious cans. We werefeeling reminiscent for those jugs today, so Kim is the subject of our Throwback Thursday.
The Chicago native got her start modeling and painting. She and a friend vacationed to Los Angeles when she was in college and ended up being extras in The French Line (1953).An agent noticed her beautiful face and she was quickly signed with Columbia Pictures. How's that for a big break?
Kim is most famous today for starring in Alfred Hitchcock'sVertigo which, yes, is a great performance, but she didn't showany of the goods. Kim made us dizzy with her seductive performances in other films that showed off her coy cleavage. She did show them off in Pal Joey when she wore some risque costumes!
As one of the most famous stars in Hollywood in the late 50's and 60's, Kim also showed off her hard nips in Jeanne Eagels in a memorable nipply scene that gets Kim wet in the water.
And then there was that seductive dance scene!
Kim was a risque star who had a clandestine relationship with Sammy Davis, Jr. which was a gossip scandal at the time.After the scandal and some heartbreak from Sammy, Kim took a break from show business. She worked here and there including a boobalicious role inThe Great Bank Robbery.
And she had a sexy cleavage-filled role in the 80's film The Mirror Crack'd in which she shockingly didn't seem to age a day!
