Tatawo (2000)

Alternately titled Tattoo Bar, the seedy Spanish drama Tatawo (2000) lifts the curtain on Barcelona’s sordid after-hours scene. Mercedes Ortega and Miguel Molina star as Simona and Francis––an opportunistic couple who’ve recently returned from a sojourn in India. Back on the streets of their native Spanish city, the pair wastes little time opening a strip joint where Simona can feel free to flash her frame to the leering clientele. When a one-eyed Cuban convict buys the bar out from under them, Francis returns to India while Simona falls prey to the cyclops’s advances. Fans of inked flesh will enjoy the copious opportunities to scope Ortega’s colorful curves, while co-stars Paulina Gálvez and Elsa Pataky boast treasures in peachy monochrome.
