Swim Little Fish Swim (2013) might have a familiar plot—a young artist moves to a big city only to realize that monetizing her talent is harder than she'd thought—but it manages to tell the story in a nude (sorry, new) way. Lola Bessis, who plays the 19 year-old main character, dumps her boyfriend during the opening scene, for one. She also moves in with a married couple and their three year-old daughter Rainbow. Then there's the nude art community, where the roles are reversed and the artists are naked instead of the subjects. Most indie art flicks are already rife with topless ingenues, but this one takes the cake, giving us a look at Lola tied up S&M style while she's painted, plus the boobs and butt of Deidre Herlihy while she's wearing nothing but a headdress! Last but not least is Christina Meyer, who's rear end is face up as she lays on a table in the buff. They may not be able to pay the bills, but these artists are doing something right!
