Biography

Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979) wouldn't have been nearly as funny without all the authentic period touches — which, thankfully, include the untrimmed bush of Sue Jones-Davies as Brian's revolutionary love interest. Her toned titties and massive muff are so sexy that we forgot to laugh. Despite her comic highlight, Sue is best known today as a Welsh folk performer, although she occasionally shows up in films such as Follow the Star (1979), In the Pink (1982), A Mind to Kill (1991), Richard Burton's Christmas Story (1991), and The Theory of Flight (1998). Born in Wales in 1949, Sue grew up in Dinas Cross, Pembrokeshire, and graduated from the University of Bristol. She also earned an honorary Bachelor of Arts from Aberystwyth University in 2018. She remains a respected figure of British comedy, too, while UK rock fans still grab their crotches to her sexy turn as Rox on the 1977 TV series Rock Follies of '77. In addition to her acting work, Sue has also worked as a singer in both The Bowles Brothers Band and as a solo artist, and more recently, Sue has even ventured into politics. Sue is a Plaid Cymru town councillor in Aberystwyth, and she served as the mayor there between June 2008 and May 2009. During that time, Sue learned that the town had banned Monty Python's Life of Brian because of Sue's nude scene, so she reversed the ban and even sponsored a charity screening of the film. Now that's a worthy cause!
