This week, let's cover one of the absolute sexiest subgenres in moviemaking: sexy nurses.
Yes, nurse movies sort of became their own genre. In the 1970s, the success of one film (the first one that we will highlight below) spawned a whole new kind of movie: the sexy nurse. While sexy nurses are not a thing of the past, films about them aren't being cranked out for our cranking pleasure like they were during the 1970s. Here are some of the sexiest and coolest of the hot nurse films:
The Student Nurses
The film that is thought to have started the craze was The Student Nurses. This far-out 1970s drama is about four young women in nursing school who all live in a house together. They are all friends, but they have very different lives - and very active sex lives. Barbara Leigh proves that in this beachy sex scene in which she is also tripping:

The film's director, Stephanie Rothman, guessed that these films became popular because they provided a fantasy that men could be intimately touched by women without anything weird happening. Is that it? I guess we all do love a gorgeous woman touching us and asking, "Does this hurt?" Yes, it hurts. It hurts because it's so hot!
The Young Nurses
Roger and Julie Corman produced this sexy nurse movie to ride the success of The Student Nurses. This 1973 film was heavier on the sex, and it even sported a tagline that said: "The patients come first". Consider me a patient! The women in this movie are dynamite as hot, young nurses who bare it all. Actresses like Jeane Manson flash everything to keep our fever at bay.
Ashley Porter, Terrill Maguire, and Kimberly Hyde are all dutiful nurses who display dome, bum, and bush hairs. So many other lovely young actresses take it all off in this movie, but I'm getting dizzy just counting them all. Maybe I need to see one of these Young Nurses!
Night Call Nurses
This film mixed the sexploitation nurse genre with a thriller for a suspenseful film that shows us what lurks at night when the nurses are doing their hospital rounds. So many heavenly hotties are in this flick, such as Patty Byrne, Dixie Peabody, Barbara Keene, Lynne Guthrie, Mittie Lawrence, and rising star Alana Stewart were all in the movie. All of them went nude!
The sexual antics are to be expected for a nurse movie, and the scenes are as softcore as ever. However, one of the nurses is stalked, which is why this film stands out as a bit of a thriller. You'll be on the edge of your seat!
