Our Staff Picks column takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version of Staff Picks has a decidedly skintillating angle, as we suss out which films from a particular subgenre are the best to find great nudity. This week let's cover one of the absolute BEST genres in moviemaking: martial arts movies.
Martial arts movies kick ass and some martial arts movies show ass. What defines a martial arts movie? It's a movie with a lot of fight scenes that rely heavily on martial arts. Watch these women who either kick ass or show ass as they fight their way out of clothing to show skintastic action in martial arts movies.
TEKKEN
The video game was adapted into a thrilling film that featured hot babes fighting in even hotter costumes. Kelly Overton wears booty-baring pants that tie up in the back and show off her crack. She gives a whole new meaning to low-rise jeans!
Candice Hillebrand sports lingerie throughout the film, but she also gets into a fighting stance while wearing a hot sporty number to take down another fighter. This is sure to please your joystick!
The Warrior and The Wolf
2009's Chinese period piece follows a general named Lu Chengkang who runs into a nomadic tribe that worships wolves. He falls for one of the tribe's women, played by Maggie Q, but he can't have this conquest without consequences. He has to fight, but Maggie Q doesn't fight the camera from panning over her pair.
Charlie's Angels
The modern movie reboot of Charlie's Angels was fierce. Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz, and Drew Barrymore played the angels who are adept at high kicks, flips, and knock-you-out punches. They look good doing it, too. Does it get hotter than that trio wearing bikinis and skin-tight wetsuits? No, it doesn't!
The trio even take their wetsuits off in one scene, but we mostly get to check outside boobage from behind. In a dark scene, we can make out Drew's domes from afar. Thank you, Charlie!
Latin Dragon
A Latino martial arts movie? You bet! Fabian Carrillo took his martial arts expertise to the big screen in this 2004 action film which shows up in a small town that needs a hero like him to save them from dangerous gangs. Luckily, his fists are legal weapons. He does take a break from kicking ass to get some ass. He bangs a gang girl with hot nips played by Alejandra Gutierrez and he greets Heidi Thomas in the bathtub.
Lady Snowblood 2
Lady Snowblood is a famous - and very good - female revenge movie. Set in 19th-century Japan, a young woman takes revenge on the people who pillaged and killed her family. The film is bloody and action-packed, but it does not have any skin. The sequel remedies that! In the sequel, Kazuko Yoshiyuki gets nude and shows off her beautiful bod. Her rack is getting revenge on the original!
