Songs in the Key of Nudity Special: Nude TV Shows with Great Soundtracks

As a companion to the best nude movie soundtracks, this Tunes-day’s Songs in the Key of Nudity is a special post dedicated to nude TV shows with killer soundtracks. Though television soundtracks started to expand past catchy theme songs to incorporating popular music in the 70s and 80s, it wasn’t until the the late 90s and early 2000s that both nakedness and needle drops became a must-see (and hear) part of must-see TV.

The scenes on today’s list are prime examples of music elevating nude scenes, from seven series that were consistently filled with choice cuts over the last twenty-five(ish) years, so scroll through and en-gorge on this feast for your eyes AND your ears!

Sex Education

This Netflix series set at a school in the UK may never get the recognition it truly deserved, but here at SITKON it will forever be remembered for its no-holds-barred look at sex and relationships framed by arguably one of the best soundtracks of all time. It’s actually hard to pick just one scene - so we won’t! Enjoy a pre-White LotusAimée-Lou Wood and her wicked wobblers riding Conor Swindells to the tune of blues great Muddy Waters and “Mannish Boy”, plus a skincredible sex montage filled with random bare bits perfectly accompanied by a cover of the Tommy James the Shondells classic “I Think We’re Alone Now.”

Orange is the New Black

Prison life may be hard, but then you’ll be too when you watch a bunch of curvy convicts get it on to some certified bangers. And speaking of (finger) bangers, playing The Velvet Underground’s “Sunday Morning” during a church sex scene may be cheeky, but it’s Yael Stone’s naked chest cheeks that’ll have you saying “Amen!” as she gets flicked to completion by Natasha Lyonne.

I May Destroy You

Michaela Cole was both the brains and the body behind this BBC One series, so it’s her we have to thank for this steamy sex scene scored by the Dutch duo Weval and their song “Days” - which is exactly how long you’ll be thinking about Michaela’s mams and muff!

Euphoria

The ground-breaking HBO series may be about all about Gen Z-ers, but its music spans decades - and genres. Any show that can combine Noah Cyrus Lil Xan with folk and country singer Townes Van Zandt and have it seem effortlessly fitting is a triumph of epic proportions. And it definitely doesn’t hurt that it’s done over well-proportioned hotties like Sydney Sweeney and Hunter Schafer.

Insecure

Any series set in modern day L.A. needs a slew of West Coast musicians on its soundtrack, it just doesn’t make sense not to. Showrunner and star Issa Rae saw so much success with her song picks, she ended up establishing her own record label, and you can check out her talent (and her tush) against this sexy slow jam by the Netherlands-born but Santa Monica-raised artist Leven Kali.

The Sopranos

Some critics credit this award-winning drama with changing the TV music landscape into what it is today, and we have to agree. Not just because of its penchant for scenes at the strip club, but also for its on-the-nose pairing of mob favorite Frank Sinatra crooning “It Was a Very Good Year” with a shot of some very good boobs.

Big Little Lies

From the opening titles, fans just knew this show would dominate their playlists and that’s exactly what happened in 2017. The series may be limited but the soundtrack is anything but, containing everything from Otis Redding to Frank Ocean, to the Leon Bridges song “River”, which will have a river flowing in your britches as Nicole Kidman flashes her funbags during a video sex session.
