Soleil rouge (1971), or Red Sun, is a truly international production. It's a spaghetti western that was filmed in America by an Italian crew starring American Charles Bronson and Japanese Toshira Mifune, with Europe being represented most pleasurably by Ursula Andress and Mónica Randall. The story finds anti-hero Bronson teaming up with samurai Mifune, who gets inducted into the lawless world of the west, which includes drunkenness and whoring. As for the latter, Ursula, with her Swiss mix of mams, exposes the pleasures of frontier prostitution. Not to be outdone, Mónica flashes her small wonders, which leaves more than the sun red.
