If there ever was a French ingenue, Romane Portail is it; at the tender age of 19, the Orleans, France, native claimed one of 12 spots (out of 800 applicants) at the acclaimed ENSATT school for performing arts. Romane’s classical training led to numerous roles on the theatre stage, which has since translated into acting parts in both big-screen movies and on TV series. Since the 5’8”, green-eyed beauty speaks both English and French fluently, she has also appeared in a number of Hollywood productions, in addition to French film and television, and splits time between there and France. The starlet has a penchant for playing the iconic Coco Chanel, appearing as the fashion legend in both the Frankie Drake Mysteries TV series in 2018, and in 2020’s France Television mini-series La Garçonne, translated as Boyish. In televisions’ 2016 series Sense 8, Romane reveals she’s definitely more woman than boy, when she drops the clothes and drops on top of a guy in an episode appropriately titled “Happy F*cking New Year,” complete with bouncing, well, everything. The 2021 period-series Spy City on AMC+ has Romane playing girlfriend Severine Booth to Dominic Cooper’s Fielding Scott, and the world enjoying another view of her more-than-a-handful cleavage and perfect posterior. As if the T&A weren’t enough, you can also drool over Romane and her sweet driving skills, even if they are imagined—she’s the driver in the BMW: Legend short/commercial, who weaves in and out of obstacles in a sleek automobile.
