Report to the Commissioner (1975) stars Michael Moriarty as a squirrely rookie with a problem or two who accidentally offs a criminally hot copper and ends up caught up in a cover-up. Temperamental and a little bit mental, Mike isn't the kind of guy you want to see on the force—somehow he's made it through the academy anyway, though, and is trying to make a name for himself. He does a bang-up job of getting his name known when he accidentally kills Susan Blakely, a rump-baring undercover cop who's shacked up with dope dealer Tony King. In order to help her cover, the higher-ups think they should go through the motions of investigating babely Ms. Blakely. Mike draws that duty, and the gunfight he gets into with Tony puts Susan in the morgue and Mike on the hot seat. Just how far will his bosses go to cover their asses? And can we see Susan uncover hers some more?
