The fedora, the whip, the hatred of snakes, the personal mantra of "it belongs in a museum!" and all the other iconic Indy movie moments made their debut when we were first introduced to the famed treasure hunting archaeology professor in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). Directed by Steven Spielberg and co-written by George Lucasthis adventure film that got the ball rolling (get it?) on the Indiana Jones franchise followed our hero and hunky archaeologist as he sets out to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis can get their hands on it. It's 1936 and the fear is, the Nazis will become an unstoppable force if they find the Ark, so Indy's (Harrison Ford) hired by the US government who see then need to track it down is as being of a paramount importance. From Nepal to Egypt, all the way to an island on the Aegean Sea, our masculine hero traverses the globe following the clues and beating up the Third Reichers on his quest to keep the Ark out of Hitler's hands. With its iconic opening scene featuring a young Alfred Molina and Indy dealing with all sorts of booby traps in a Peruvian temple, to the famous ending that teaches you to look away when religious relics are being opened, Raiders features some of the most well known scenes in movie history. Unfortunately, there's not much skin in this homage to 1930's serials and adventure flicks like Secret of the Incas (1954). What we do get is the lovely leading lady Karen Allen showing some skin as the gorgeous tomboy Marion Ravenwood. Karen gives us a look up her skirt at her white panties when she crouches down in a white dress and climbs down a rope into some ruins. Don't let her lovely looks fool you though, Marion's a badass who can outdrink you and hit you with a mean right cross. Still, we wish someone panty raided her closet so we could see the real deal while looking up her dress! The Indy flick that started it all, Marion gave us serious wood in Raiders of the Lost Ark
